The tree sits on top of a slope and has exposed roots creating a magnificent natural climbing frame you can clamber over the roots or hide in the cave-like space beneath them. It then heads west through more nice open countryside until you reach a fantastic county pub for some well-earned refreshments about two thirds of the way around the route.
